Hi everyone! I have been sending out multiple emails where I bcc-ed the Hubspot bcc email address but for all but one of them, I have been getting “Temporary Recipient Failure” with the administrator diagnostic information shown in the screenshot below. Given the error message, I thought it might just be temporary, but even after a few tries at a later time the issue still persists. My connected email account is also far from reaching the daily rate limit of emails. Could anyone please advise on what I can do to fix this issue? Thank you!
Hi @SSYD,
Could you please share the screenshot? It doesn’t seem to be included in your original post.
Alternatively, copy and paste the error text.
Best regards
@SSYD for which recipient address are you receiving this? The BCC address or the actual intended recipient?
Hi Karsten! Sorry for the late reply. I was receiving it for the BCC address, not the actual intended recipient.
Hi @SSYD and thanks for the additional information!
Let’s make sure everything is set up correctly:
- Can you please double-check the BCC address:
Copy the personal or team BCC address and update it in your email client and try sending a new email to test.
- Please try these quick tests and let us know the results:
Test A: From your connected inbox, send a plain text email only to the HubSpot BCC address. Do you get a “Temporary Recipient Failure”?
If so, this suggests an issue between your email provider and HubSpot.
Test B: Send the same test from a different email account or domain. If that works, the problem is likely specific to your primary provider.
If issues persist, could you please DM me the following:
- Your Hub ID
- The BCC address you’re using.
- Example timestamps (with timezone) of failed attempts.
- Your email provider (e.g., Gmail, Microsoft 365).
- The full bounce message from at least one failed email.
For now, to keep logging your emails:
- Try sending directly from HubSpot’s CRM email composer (it logs automatically), or
- Use the HubSpot email extension/add-in for Gmail or Outlook with “Log to CRM” turned on, instead of relying on the BCC address.
Let us know how it goes, we’re here to help!
