Remove mandatory contact from Invoice

For B2B, especially in Germany, Accounts receivables do not like the contact, being listed above the company name on invoices. This is a major blocker to B2B sales via HubSpot invoices. there is a workaround that has been shared with me from the support team, to create a blank contact with the email but with no name and assign that to the invoice, but this breaks the simple automated process and is horrible to train the rest of the sales team on. We just want the ability to remove a contact having to be assign to the invoice to generate a PDF.

Hi Sarah, our app DocuGen builds the invoice from your own Word template instead of HubSpot’s layout, so the contact only appears if you put it there.

In our template editor, upload your invoice and double-click to place the company name, address and any other company properties at the top, with deal and line item data below. Leave the contact fields out and none will print. Generate from the deal or straight from the company record, and the PDF saves to that record’s attachments.

There’s no blank-contact step to train anyone on.

You’ll find DocuGen on the HubSpot marketplace.

P.S. The free plan covers 400 invoices a month with no watermark, and unlimited users so the whole sales team can generate them at no cost.
