Some of my clients are having trouble connecting to my website. Sometimes the connection is very slow, the website doesn’t load properly, and the chat popup doesn’t appear immediately. However, once the VPN is activated, everything runs smoothly. I was wondering if there’s a possibility to redirect my website traffic through a VPN for my clients. If so, any recommendations and assistance? Thank you.
@JAES It could be a performance issue with your website or how you have the DNS settings configured. Can you share the name of your root domain (not as a link) so I can check it?
for the website i did copmress all the photos and tried to make it simple, for the DNS I could have some issue since i’m not expert in that , i just followed basic recommendations in the setup . my domain is Kreaticx.com , I can share with you my DSN settings setup if you want . Thank you.
You’re welcome @JAES, I checked your performance using Google Lighthouse in an incognito browser and it loaded in less than 2 seconds, here are the results:
Because it’s loading so quickly for me, I think you are right that it has something to do with being on VPN. You can also check your browser to see if any extensions might be interfering with the performance, using incognito will let you easily compare.
With this being a Chinese website, there might be other factors at play that are preventing it from loading quickly, namely the GFW
Hello Jennifer, Thanks for the reply, in fact my clients are in China and the website is loading slowly on dektop and mobile for diffrent people, the Chat pop up and the CTA don’t appear at all , I did contact the Hub Support too , and also they mentionned the location and many other factors , so for now I’ m setting up Cloudflare , and we will see maybe it works better since they have servers in China. I will let you know , Thank you fo your help.
Hi @JAES thanks for the update, I hope the cloudflare solution will work to improve the speed. If the chat popup and CTA aren’t showing for some, it could be related to cookie acceptance.
Updates: I was Struggling these days to fix the DNS , now the website loading time is faster with CTA and Pop Up through Cloudflare , but if your domain name and your host are diffrent provider and still want to go through Cloud then you need just to put the domain in proxied mode in Cloud and the rest of records should be DNS only, and keep same DNS records in both ( Cloud and Domain Provider). That’s all !!Thank you Jennifer!
