I am reviewing a page with google pagespeed. The page has two forms but the analysis says that load 8 recatpcha files and 4 forms/vs.js.
Any idea how I can manage this issue and decrease the recaptcha files
Hello @CEsparta thank you for posting in our Community!
Are you using a form? Including a form on any page is going to slightly decrease the speed at which the page loads. Forms utilize multiple scripts and an iFrame (in this context), all of which are going to impact speed. Recaptcha sends multiple requests to that URL naturally.
With that being said, given they highlighted the reCaptcha script as problematic, they could disable that function on the form itself, as detailed here.
Which would prevent us from loading in the reCaptcha scripts. That being said, given we load in the reCaptcha scripts from another source (Google Directly), we can’t control how fast it actually loads in, nor do we offer an option to load it from our CDN, so you can either disable it or leave it enabled and have it impact your speed.
Currently, it’s not possible to customize the recaptcha options within HubSpot forms (this is sent directly from Google), but I see there have been suggestions for alternatives on our ideas forum here & here. This is a place where our developers check regularly for new product features, many of which have already been implemented.
My recommendation is to disable reCaptcha if it’s slowing down your site significantly, and that any other form solution that also uses reCaptcha might potentially cause the same slowness.
I hope this information helps.
Pam
The problem is that there two forms in the page and 8 recaptcha files. It must be only 2 files
