Re-erecting a career

Hello fellow Content Mktg practitioners:

I’m Martin Jelsema, a grizzled writer and brand developer with many years in the marcom arena. Since I’ve been retired for the past 15-years, I’ve only recently learned how important Content Marketing has become as distinct from ordinary piece-by-piece creation of promotional materials, sales tools and corporate identity elements. I cut my teeth at BBDO, Marstellar, and Tallent-Yates Advertising on the duPont, IBM and Hewlett-Packard accounts respectively. I then did stints with IBM itself, Information Handling Services, and Coors Ceramics. Since 1985, I’ve freelanced under the monikers Industrial Strength Copy and Signature Strategies. My accounts have included IBM, H-P, Coors, and dozens of other B2B clients. Since around 1995, my emphasis has been helping companies (mostly start-ups) profit from the power of branding and positioning. Now after more than a decade in retirement I’m actively resurrecting my career as a B2B content creator and branding strategist. I have quite a challenge getting up to speed, and I accept!
