Hi HubSpot,
When selling enterprise licenses, many vendors align upsells with the remaining term of the existing subscription.
Example:
Subscription Product A
Start: 01.01.2025
End: 31.12.2028
Billing: Annual
After six months, the customer purchases an additional product from the same vendor. This product is also billed annually, but naturally the final year should only be billed for six months rather than a full twelve.
At the moment, this scenario cannot be reflected properly. While it would be possible to create monthly billed products, this does not fulfill the use case, as the customer would then receive monthly invoices.
It would be very helpful to have a selector or option on the subscription such as “align with specific end date,” which would prorate the annual subscription amount accordingly and allow setting an end date independent of the billing frequency.
Especially for enterprise customers, this is critical, as this sales model is standard practice for most vendors.
Best regards
