Optimizing navigation and structure of the Knowledge Base

The HubSpot knowledge base has:

  1. Lack of multiple sub-menus/sections: users struggle to navigate long articles and quickly find specific sections.
  2. No navigation summary: absence of a left-side summary or clear table of content
  3. Limited search functionality: not enough filtering options to narrow down results
  4. No text structure possible: Articles often lack clear organization with sections and chapters. No readable table of contents with clickable links

=> It would be great to add sub-menus, a left-side navigation summary, a more structured article format with chapters, and a clickable table of contents, along with advanced search filters.

Similar challenge faced by my clients too. They can’t see how many articles are inside a category until they click on a category. I think upon expansion of a category or a subcategory, hubspot should show what articles live inside that category or subcategory.

E.g.

Category 1:

Article1withoutsubcategory

Article2withoutsubcategory

SubCategory1:

Article1withsubcategory1

Article2withsubcategory1

SubCategory2:

Article1withsubcategory2

Article2withsubcategory2
