Optgroup support in dropdown properties

Hello everyone,

It would be extremely helpful if HubSpot could support optgroup (grouped options) in dropdown menus and properties.

Today, when we want to structure options, we often have to prefix values manually, like:

  • Cat 1: Menu 1
  • Cat 1: Menu 2
  • Cat 2: Menu A
  • Cat 2: Menu B
  • Cat 2: Menu C
  • Cat 3: Menu AA

This approach works, but it quickly becomes hard to read, maintain, and scale—especially with large datasets or multilingual environments.

What would improve the experience:

  • Ability to create grouped sections (optgroups) inside dropdowns
  • Clear visual separation between categories
  • Easier maintenance (no need to repeat category names in every option)
  • Better UX for end users (cleaner, faster selection)

Example (ideal structure):

Cat 1

  • Menu 1
  • Menu 2

Cat 2

  • Menu A
  • Menu B
  • Menu C

Cat 3

  • Menu AA

This would significantly improve data organization and usability, especially for teams managing complex properties.
