Hello,
We recently encountered an unusual drop in our email open rate, which fell below 10% in our last campaign. This is a departure from our usual performance, and we’re trying to understand the cause behind it.
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi @AMukhamet
Bit hard to give advice without further details.
Have you checked your email health score in HubSpot and gone through the recommendations there?
I always find they are a good starting point.
Frank
Thanks for your quick reply and for suggesting that check our email health score in HubSpot.
Our usual open rates for marketing emails typically fall between 20-40%. However, this week, we experienced a sudden drop to 8-11%, which is quite unusual for us. This has never happened before, and we’re not sure why.
Since this is such a big change, we want to figure out what’s going on and fix it.
Thanks for your help.
Hi email experts,
Here’s a +1 on the email open rate metric issue. Our newsletter goes out 7AM every Monday (12+ years) and by this time of the day we’ll have ~25-30% opens and will eventually top out around 50%. Our unique opens are only 25% of our normal amount for this time of day (3:30 pm) on the first day. Our raw opens are also down by the same amount.
However, our clicks are normal, as are our unsubscribes so it’s not like I offended everyone with my subject line
I saw the new rate limit feature and unselected it when I scheduled the email and our delivery numbers are correct (99.9%).
Does anyone have any ideas? Remember this change happened at most over a two week period (our numbers last week were slightly down, but not like this) so it’s not a gradual change like an OS update.
Could it be large tools like Gmail blocking the pixels or something?
