Not automatically logging-in

I run the HubSpot extension for Outlook on Windows 11 Pro. It works fine, apart from always starting with an ‘Updating Office customization’ dialog box, and requiring me to log-in every time I close and re-open Outlook (and not just after, for example, a restart or shutdown. I’ve tried the steps outlined at HubSpot Sales prompts login every time Outlook on desktop is opened, but this didn’t work. Same problem. My default email address runs through Microsoft Exchange, if that’s relevant. Any ideas to force the extension to remember my details and log-in automatically?

Hi @icmcg ,

Yeah, I’ve actually run into similar issues before with HubSpot’s integration with Microsoft Office tools—it’s always been a bit hit or miss compared to how smoothly it works with Google. What you’re seeing is definitely part of that family of problems.

Here’s what I’d try based on my own experience:

  • Test on a different device:

    • Whenever I hit a Microsoft-related issue, the first thing I do is try it on another device. If it works fine there, then you know it’s something specific to your current setup.
  • Check for cache or file cleaning programs:

    • It could be something on your system that’s clearing the application cache—I’ve had this happen with file cleaning software running in the background. Programs like this often wipe temporary files, cookies, or cache, so it’s worth checking if you’ve got something like that running and adjusting the settings.
  • Raise a support ticket (if applicable):

    • If you’re on a paid plan, I’d definitely suggest raising a support ticket with HubSpot and Microsoft. I’ve done this in the past, and getting both sides involved can help diagnose the issue, especially if you’ve already tried the knowledge base steps.

I don’t have a definite fix for you here, but hopefully one of these steps will point you with some next steps. Let me know how it goes!
