New Beta Form editor

Hey all - I really love the new aspects of the form editor. We use forms on a huge scale and are very excited about this! I had a couple of quetsions/ideas around it.

  • Will there be access to set a field as hidden without relying on logic? we use hidden custom objects in forms currently to be able to filter submissions based on different forms to stick to profiles.
  • Custom object properties! I’d love to be able to use the new forms but we can’t as most of our properties/fields are housed in custom objects to attach to that type of submission. Is this on its way?
  • Where is the data stored for those fields that aren’t connected to a property? Would you have to look at each submission to gather the info (we have thousands of people submitting forms) or would we be able to filter on that answer somehwere in a list or view?

Agreed! As much as I love the updates on the new form editor, especially the multi-step feature, the lack of access to custom objects hurts its usability somewhat. I’m sure HubSpot will sort this out in the future.

Also like to add that we can’t control button placement any more either, not often you find a right hand button location.

I also shared this regarding hidden properties behind logic that are mandatory can be bi-passed and form submitted. https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/New-Beta-Form-mandatory-fields-w-logic/idi-p/1062647

We also cannot override button placement or other styling with external website CSS or HTML coding which is crazy!

The button placement is frustrating - with multistep forms it means that when moving to the next step, the user is stuck at the bottom of the next step and has to scroll up to start filling out fields
