Currently facing the issue of not being able to disable 2FA authenthication for users in my portal. Wishing this was a feature as sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise and we might not be able to authenthicate via mobile device. Would be great if Super Admins were granted this right.
Agree - currently v cumbersome and time consuming - especially since often someone submits request for admin help, and by the time the admin sees it + gets through to user to get their code… it has already expired.
If at admin level I can both make it obligatory / optional for every user to use either SSO or 2FA + can make individual ‘excluded users’ from SSO requirement… why can’t I remove 2FA for a single user?
This issue needs to be fixed Hubspot! Its a continuous issue and a 48 hour lock on the account is ridiculous. Give super admins the ability to disable your 2FA!
As a Superadmin I should have the ability to be able to override the 2FA on my own account. I am working with a developer who was unable to complete 2FA on a mobile phone. I think it is discriminating to assume that everyone has access to their own mobile!!! It would be good to at least be able to choose how we use 2FA in the first instance. For example, email verfication. It is really stupid not to have this feature. It took a load of time and effort to work around it, when it should have been a simple switch. Apparently SSI is available if you want to upgrade to Sales Hub Enterprise which is Hub level I do not need!!! Grrrr very frustrating.
This absolute nonsense - what you’re saying is although we are paying you and it is OUR DATA going into your system that we are not permitted to use HubSpot without tracking us via a mobile handset.
What if a user does not want to have a smart phone? I have 2 empoyees who refuse to use a standard smart phone. That is their decision.
Should I fire the employees because they do not want to use a smartphone?
HubSpot’s position is that every paying customer must insist on every user accessing via a second device means you are blocking access to those people who do not want to use a “smart” device
Agreed. I love that HS is offering 2FA. BUT IT SHOULD BE UP TO US - THE PAYING CUSTOMER - WHEN AND HOW WE USE IT. I have several email accounts that we use as a group - orders, support, etc. Multipel people use these email addresses via outlook and log the emails using the HS Outlook plugin. But now we cannot, because 2FA. It was fine when we used the email 2FA, but that has been removed. Why? I can recieve a text code and not an email code? This is ridiculous.
2FA mandatory would be necessary to be disabled for specific accounts by superadmin. ie we have an employee with a visual impairment, therefore this additional step is a very big hurdle for handicapped people!
Absolutely agree - if the user cannot access their email (in time) or we don’t want to send an email to every super admin requesting 2FA be removed, we should be able to disable it from the User management portal.
Not to mention the caveat that if you happen to be the 11th super admin, you won’t receive that reset email.
