Hi there - I’m working with a client to bring their website to life in HubSpot. Unfortunately, our graphic designer is unable to figure out the theme and use it, so I need a developer to help us use a theme, incorporate our branding elements, images and copy, and build out our website. Please help!
~Amanda
@FullBloom is there a specific theme you’re using? or are you looking for the developer to create/customize a theme for you beyond what’s available? Many of the free themes have limitations for how much they can be customized, but premium themes like POWER Pro would have more flexibility to be customized.
I would also recommend checking out the CMS for Marketers certification, it would help your graphic designer to understand the capabilities of a theme and where to go to make modifications.
Most of the branding can be done within the Theme Settings and don’t typically require coding (depends on the theme and level of customization you’re looking for). All of the website pages can be built using drag-and-drop, adding your images and copy as you go - websites in HubSpot are focused on making it easy for non-developers to be successful.
Thanks, Jennifer - I appreciate your insights and quick response! We’re trying to use the NYC Clinic (free) theme but even with “drag & drop” our designer is finding it very difficult to navigate and work with (he has no HubSpot experience). I was thinking a developer could easily help take our copy and branding elements and use this theme to build it out? We pretty much like the theme as is, so thinking not a lot of customization would be needed. Am I looking in the right spot for a resource like this? Thanks! ~Amanda
You’re welcome @FullBloom, that’s a great theme choice - @umakantmwb is part of the team that created the NYC Clinic Theme. Starting with MakeWebBetter Might be the best place to start for help since they know the theme and it’s capabilities firsthand, it would be the quickest/easiest way to get help building your website.
Great idea - thanks, Jennifer!
you’re welcome @FullBloom, if for any reason it doesn’t work out and you still need help, I’d be happy to make an alternate recommendation. All the best with your website project!
Hi @FullBloom,
It seems that your designer is not familiar with the Content Hub. All HubSpot themes are built on the same framework, so learning to use the Content Hub will allow you to work effectively with any HubSpot theme. I recommend starting with the HubSpot CMS for Marketers certification first.
Understanding best practices before starting is important to avoid time-consuming rebuilds.
