I have a client who has an external form that is adding multiple emails to contacts. I have no quick way to ID which contacts have multiple emails. I tried adding a roll-up field, but it is not working as intended.
Do you have any idea how to ID these contacts and prevent the form from adding emails to incorrect contacts?
Hi @Huntscape-Ops,
Yes, this is the “Always create new contact for email address” setting in the form options. When this is not enabled, HubSpot will merge contacts it believes are the same person. Once enabled, the behavior stops. Set up and style forms on HubSpot pages (legacy)
If you want to identify these contacts, the easiest option is to export your contacts from the contact index page and choose to include additional email addresses:
You can then create a list of these contacts by reimporting just the record ID column in a update-only contacts import.
Best regards
@Huntscape-Ops if this is a non-HubSpot form, then correct, you don’t have this setting.
Are you sure you want to pull in login form submissions into HubSpot at all? Typically that doesn’t make sense and you can disable it entirely: Use non-HubSpot forms
