Good morning, how are you? We have a big topic to solve and we would like your support.
It turns out that right now we are generating numerous leads and numerous MQLs but we don’t have all the analytics because we are making a mess.
On the one hand, we have the number of forms filled out each month, these forms generate Leads or generate MQLs depending on the responses of the users (we filter som questions and according to that, the become MQL or LEAD.
Right now, we need to be able to have visibility of:
- New contact on new account
- New contact in existing account
How can we differenciate?
We don’t know how to access this information in a quick way, I understand that this is something that happens in many companies but we don’t find out a solution.
Thank you!
Best regards
Happy to help @kvlschaefer, we might need a little more detail @EGarcíadeAlca, but I’m thinking you could create a workflow with an If/Then branch that determines if the Contact Create Date is before the Company First Contact Create Date.
I haven’t built a workflow out to test how it would need to be configured, have you already tried using workflows?
We checked the box to create the comapny automatically based on the conatct domain, so we should have a lot of contacts created the same date the company was created.
Additionally, we have different contacts attached to a company created before and we would like to get the amount of leads/MQL created after the company creation.
@EGarcíadeAlca I’m not sure if it will be very easy to distinguish the leads based on how the data was created, it would require a lot of if/then rules.
Maybe @jolle knows of a way to break out these two lead groups with a workflow or list?
That would pull in contacts whose associated company has only one associated contact. There’s a good chance that if there’s only one associated contact, it wasn’t already an existing company record (unless you have a huge library of company records that don’t currently have any existing contacts). You could then layer in the create date to see, for example, contacts created this month who appear to have created net new company records.
On the flipside, you could create a list/report that will show you new contacts created this month that are associated with company records that have more than one associated contact.
I know that isn’t perfect, but it should help get you started so you can better determine how often this is occurring. Honestly, this process is usually a manual one for the individual(s) responsible for reviewing new contacts in your CRM, especially if you have target accounts, at least from what I’ve seen.
Hi @EGarcíadeAlca
I don’t know what you are trying to solve with this. But I hope you have turned on the Create and associate companies with contacts in company settings.
You can easily get these stats with HubSpot Custom Report Builder. You have to select Contacts & Companies as your data source and use the logic to build the report.
For example, I want to get the number of new contacts on a new account created this quarter. I used, create company date & create contact date, set to this quarter. I got the number of new contacts associated with the new account X. My new account X got 25 new contacts. I can repeat the same process, slightly tweaking the logic for the new contacts in existing accounts.
Thanks.
Actually I don’t know if we are trying to get something out from the box, or if it’s something impossible to obtain by HubSpot, but the thing is that we believe we are missing a lot of data in the background and we’re strurggling with the reporting.
Imagine the following case: you have a company (W) with tom@comany.com as MQL.
For HubSpot, Tom is currently is an MQ. BUT: in the meantime Tom has been downloading content through our forms and he has created 3-4 different requests as an MQL… how can we track ALL the activities within one single contact? HubSpot is just counting TOM as one MQL but he has generated different requests so it should be: 1 MQL/ 3 Requests.
He should be counted as many times as he requests something else, right?
How can we get ALL the activities/forms submission within just one contact?
