Having more columns in the line item select window that pops up when you select from the product library would be very helpful.
Example: You could add a stock-on-hand custom field that is fed by integration which you could then see before selecting an item that perhaps did not have stock.
I agree this would be quite valuable. Add the same number of columns which are availablee on the quote template.
Thank you.
Yes this would make life a lot easier. At the moment we only see column ‘Name’ and ‘Price’ when selecting line items from a deal. It would, for us, be better to see also see a 3rd column (i.e. description or brand). So it would be great if we could make a custom view of the columns which should be shown by line items.
I just imported 1200+ items and some of them have the same or similar Name (required field). I used a concat function to create a unique SKU using the Name and some other details. However, if I cannot call in this SKU or other columns of data to this look up table when adding Line Items to a Quote, my sales people will not know which item to select. The current columns are not detailed enough to know which item is which.
Thinking about it now, I should have built my products (and I probably will rip them all out and redo them) so the Name field was my concat results. However, simply being able to add more columns to this look up view would solve all problems. I wouldn’t have to concat fields to get unique names if I could just display more of the details that are already available.
Here’s an example of other columns I would display in order to tell the different between the various items.
Big miss not to see SKU when picking products.
Hi fellow community members,
I’m Jeannie, the new PM for Products & Line Items. Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback and explaining your use case. In the spirit of transparency, this is not currently on our roadmap, as our team is focused on other areas right now.
That said, I’m tracking this feedback and will revisit as priorities evolve. Please keep upvoting and sharing details in the comments. It’s been really helpful to inform the requirements for other features in the past.
Thank you!
Jeannie
