What is the difference between Meetings and Appointments in HubSpot when tracking an SDR’s performance?
Hi @TAndres,
Meetings are an activity type in HubSpot. They can be logged to the activity timeline of objects like contacts, companies, deals, tickets and tie in with HubSpot features like:
- Reference connected calendar: Connect your calendar to HubSpot
- Meeting links: Create scheduling pages with the meetings tool
- Scheduling meetings: Schedule a meeting on a record
- Round robin and group availability: Understand group and round robin meeting availability
Appointments are a fairly recent addition to HubSpot and a new object type. They don’t connect to a personal calendar, meeting link and will not show up in the activity timeline of an object either. They would be associated to a contact or company like a deal would. The definition for this object is “Information about an encounter or service for an individual”.
Out of the box it comes with these properties, which you could expand on and create many more:
As a rule of thumb, unless you have very specific needs that are not covered by meetings, don’t use appointments.
Best regards!
Yes perfect Thanks
