Are there any settings I can tweak to make lists load faster.
We have a pretty small Hubspot org (under 3,000 contacts and companies) and it’ll take 90 seconds or more for a list to populate after I create it.
In Salesforce you can do things like disable cahcing to help with this. They wont scale, but they will help for a small company.

No, HubSpot does not have any additional settings that would make list population faster.
Generally, a portal becomes noticeably slower with a large number of active lists, reports, workflows. If you don’t have a lot of these assets, there isn’t any room for optimization, unfortunately.
As a workaround, filtered views on the index pages (e.g. Menu > Contacts > Contacts) are much faster. They can also be saved and shared. I would assume that these are faster as they don’t offer association filter options and HubSpot can probably iterate through filter criteria faster.
