Currently, users are unable to make certain form fields “required” on pop-up forms. I think it’s common logic that if you can require form fields on a regular form, you should be able to require form fields on a pop-up form.

All form fields are currently required by default on a pop-up form. For any submissions that are missing values after editing a form and adding fields, be sure to check the preview tab and select “update” in the top right corner to publish these fields 
Yes, the field is required. Unfortunately, you can bypass the “required” field by clicking outside of the pop-up. So it doesn’t work for page gating. Would love to be able to control the pop-up getting closed out by the required field.
