Petition to make the default Country fields on Contacts and Companies dropdown-select.
I don’t know how many clients I’ve onboarded telling them DON’T USE THE DEFAULT COUNTRY/REGION PROPERTY on companies. Frustrating when so much native functionality (enrichments etc) are based on the single line text version.
I feel your pain.
The fact that HubSpot is still defaulting all versions of “Country” across all objects to a Single-line text field in 2026 makes us want to cry. ISO 3166 (and all its variants) are pretty easy to implement and could be used across the board.
If people want something else in that field, then they could create a custom property. It shouldn’t be the burden it is to clean up!
