I had a developer create a landing page for our company which uses the contacts API to generate leads. My hope was for the generated leads to sync up with contacts in mailchimp to create an automated drip campaign.
I pay for operations starter so i notice that the fields are syncing between contacts that already exist between hubspot and mailchimp. However, when new contacts are created by the landing page, they are created in hubspot, but NOT in mailchimp.
Is there any way to fix this? This seems like pretty basic stuff; contacts in hubspot should be added to mailchimp.
if you’re data sync is running & active, the contacts should exist in Mailchimp too… that is in fact very much what the sync is supposed to do:
it makes sure the contacts get there
and that they stay in sync according to the rules.
As part of the sync’s settings, you had to define an audience inside of Mailchimp that you are you syncing those contacts towards. Are you looking in the right audience in Mailchimp?
A common reason for contacts not being created in Mailchimp is certain fields (aka properties) being marked as “required” in Mailchimp but these fields lacking values for incoming contacts. So I’d suggest starting troubleshooting there.
