Login loop

Hi,

I am trying to help a customer with their use of Hubspot, but I am having some problems and wondered if anyone can help.

I have deployed the Outlook addin via Office 365, and it is showing up in Outlook.

The problem I have is when the user tries to log in to Hubspot using the same details used to access the website, it just asks them to log in again. I have tried to use the troubleshooting for the logon, but that doesn’t do anything either.

Looking at this, I fouind this post:

For all you with similar issues, have been in touch with Hubspot team through chat and they helped me fix this within minutes via this https://app.hubspot.com/settings/20189283/user-preferences/email - my setting was empty for some reason.

Hope this helps

I have tried to access the link, but I just get told I don’t have access to that area.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks,

Anthony

Hello,

Do you have Sales Enterprise?

I believe it is a security setting in your email that has to be toggled.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Hi @ABoudreaux22

I am try to find out the answer to your question now.

Do you remember what the security setting was? I am unfamiliar with the settings in Hubspot.

I have looked at teh preferences I can see in the hubspot account I set up for myself, and I can see there are email preferences and connect personal emails settings.

Thanks,

Alamb200

It is actually a security setting in your outlook. Have you looked at the Microsoft 365 admin page?

It is the Security Sign On to be approved to access the HubSpot, for our company we use Azure to filter access.

Hey @ALamb200,
Just making sure you’ve seen @ABoudreaux22’s reply! @ABoudreaux22 - do you happen to know which specific setting?

Hi,

I have checked and I can see that application consent is in place.

One thing I am not sure about, and I don’t know if it would have an effect on this. The user who requested consent has a username of user@domain1.com in the tenancy, whereas the user’s who are trying to get access have usernames of username@domain2.com. Both email domains are in the same tenancy, so I am not convinced this would be the case.

I am removing the addin from the users systems using Office 365, and will re-add it to see if this makes any difference.

Both users can log in to the Hubspot portal with the same username and password they are suing with the addin in Outlook and they can log in there, it is only Outlook that won’t accept it.

The user who requested consent is able to log in through outlook.
