Each month we add new customers to our system to send marketing emails to with relevant product information. The list provided is a complete list, not an incremental list, meaning each month all the previous month’s contacts will be on it as well as the new contacts. I want to import the list as marketing contacts. If someone has unsubscribed, will the system mark them as a marketing contact during the import or leave them as non-marketing?

HubSpot would still set these contacts as marketing contacts if you choose so, despite a full unsubscribe.
If you want to avoid that, I’d recommend setting contacts as marketing contacts after the import and while excluding unsubscribed contacts and contacts where “Email hard bounce reason” is known.
