Can anyone clarify something for me?
I’ve created a workflow which maps the first source of a contacts visit to a page. As I need visibility of where they come from.
I’ve then used this in a report along with lifecycle stage, my question is, is the lifecycle where they were on the first visit? or is it live?
e.g. if I was a subscriber when I first visited and am now a customer does that report show my latest lifecycle stage?
Hi @squigglebit,
HubSpot reports will by default always show the current value of a property. In your case that would be the lifecycle stage of the contact at the time of viewing the report, not the value it had when you set another property’s value.
If you want that earlier value, you would have to copy the lifecycle stage value into a custom property - only for the purpose of reporting on this custom property once. The copy action ‘freezes’ the value in the new property while the default lifecycle stage moves on. (This does not work retroactively.)
Best regards!
Hi @squigglebit ,
To be precise, life cycle stage property for particular contact will show the stage in which contact is. If in first week this property is subscriber and in 2nd week it is MQl, then in 2nd week report will show Mql.
Thanks!
