Lead Source Latest Trigger in Workflows

Hey All,

I have a Lead Source issue. I have created a few Lead Source assignment workflows based on the different sources our leads can come from i.e. an event/webinar etc. When they get originally created I want the source to fill out Lead Source and Lead Source latest as its the lead source and also the latest lead source we’ve had. From then on if they convert from any other lead source we will just keep changing the Lead Source Latest. For Example, I get created in Hubspot as I Convert from an Event - Lead Source = Event and Lead Source Latest = Event. I then sign up for a webinar - My Lead Source = Event and Lead Source Latest = Webinar.

I am struggling with triggering a workflow based on these Lead Source Latest changes. Ideally I only want my workflow to trigger from the second time the Lead Source Latest is filled out, so in my example I only want the workflow triggered Lead Source Latest had equalled Webinar. I have shown some screenshots below of how it currently looks if anybody has any ideas. I originally thought as its the first time Property Value changes might not trigger if they change from being blank but it seems its triggering.

Hey @DCrinnion1! Thanks for the screenshots and example.

From what I understand, your goal is to automatically update a custom property “Lead Source- Latest” every time the Lead Source is updated after the first value (second value and so on). Can you clarify which workflow you suspect is enrolling the wrong contacts? I noticed you included two workflows in your screenshots. Any additional context you can provide about the full lead process as well can help us better understand the most efficient workflow set up.

Also, to confirm, the event-based workflow triggers will include any changes to properties including when they are blank and then have a value added.
