Lead Scoring and List Membership

Hi Community,

I don’t think this is possible but wanted to get confirmation..

If a contact is a member of an active list which is used in scoring and gets scored, does the HubSpot scoring functionality allow them to re-enter that same active list at a later date and be scored again after having exited it due to a list date filter criterion?

I am looking for a way to issue scores to people for completing the same activity mutiple times during x time period (example; attending multiple events, visiting mutiple webpages within a set period of time, clicking through emails).

I am hoping to find a way to get around the one and done scoring limitation and allow for multiple scores to occur for the same event during specific blocks of time.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Hi @cmtdmg,

The way HubSpot scoring works it that it removes the points again when the criteria aren’t met anymore. For example, if you award 10 points for list membership, the contact enters the list, they get 10 points. They leave the list, 10 points are removed. They re-enter the list, they get 10 points again.

Hope this helps!

@karstenkoehler very helpful. Even though it wasn’t what I was hoping to hear, thanks for explaining the functionality around this!

I’m not seeing any opportunity to bump a lead score when a contact is added to a list, which is frustration. Lists are one of the most efficient tools for accomplishing tasks that are otherwise made difficult with Hubspot.
We have an In-Person meeting object that cannot be scored via the OOTB Lead Score system. So I created a list to check if someone was associated with an in-person meeting in the last 30 days, to give them a bump in engagement score. But I can’t see a way to associate a list.
