Thanks @BérangèreL , happy to share some ideas with @LBenzigar about using content for lead gen.

The best content types I’ve found are those that offer an educational opportunity for your target audience (without trying to sell anything).

Creating content that aligns with their goals can help gain brand exposure and even build community.

Obviously this varies by industry, product/service type, etc. but hope this helps you get started!

Any kind of gated content works. e-books, whitepapers.
To make it more enticing to click on, include valuable lessons and
takeaways from industry experts you personally interviewed on podcasts or
panels.
Create thought-leadership content and also create a weekly newsletter.
That’s how you get leads.
If you don’t have an email list, build one gradually by first posting your
newsletters on LinkedIn.

Hi @LBenzigar and welcome to the Community!

Platforms/formats depend on your audience. So I’d start there for both the overall strategy along with the tactics.

First, my advice for qualified leads in content marketing is context. Content for content’s sake will not generate leads. But content with the right value can generate qualified leads.

Next, I’d suggest opening up as much content as possible, offering additional resources behind a gate of some kind - like an email in a form or chatflow.

Then I’d think about the distribution. Promoting that content should be as important as creating it - look at the Barbie movie marketing efforts. Sometimes the promotion and distribution costs more than the creation.

Hope that helps!

Your audience is the most fundamental piece as each audience type (what is your Ideal Customer Profile) can respond differently to different content formats. That being said, content for the sake of content is not all the helpful, you need quality content. Depending on where your company is in terms of resources, it may be prudent to reach out to a third party subject matter expert and pay for their help in the beginning, learn how to do it well and then bring it internally once you have a grasp of it.

There are several ways to generate lead in social media.
If you have a large number of audience based on your niche probably on
facebook and you make a post to whatsapp, you can generate lead to your
whatsapp by copying and pasting the content link from your whatsapp to your
facebook.

Email marketing is a potent lead generation tool. You can craft targeted email campaigns featuring valuable content like blog post summaries, ebooks, and industry insights. Try to segment your email list to deliver content that resonates with specific groups.
Meanwhile, you can leverage the engaging nature of video content on platforms like YouTube and social media to showcase products, elucidate complex topics, and highlight customer success stories.

Hi, LBenzigar,
I just don’t wanna talk much in this regard, because I’ve written a comprehensive guide on this and I hope it will help you understand lead generation through content marketing. If you want you can read it out here: https://fluentforms.com/lead-generation-through-content-marketing/

My suggestion don’t forget to leverage social media and email marketing to distribute your content and reach a broader audience. Consistency is key, so make sure you’re regularly publishing and promoting your content. With the right approach, you’ll see a steady increase in qualified leads.

Don’t forget the relevant communities where your intended audience spends time. Are they marketers, find the marketing communities (PMA, etc). Are they developers find the developer communities (CodeProject, etc). There are often great opportunities to share your content in these communities and generate both better brand awareness and leads.

To generate qualified leads through content marketing, focus on these steps:

  1. Create Valuable Content: Offer solutions to your audience’s problems with blogs, guides, and videos.
  2. Use Lead Magnets: Provide free resources like eBooks, checklists, or templates in exchange for contact details.
  3. Optimize for SEO: Ensure your content ranks well on search engines to attract the right audience.
  4. Leverage Social Media: Share content on platforms where your audience is active to drive traffic.
  5. Add Clear CTAs: Guide users to take action, like signing up or downloading a resource.

Formats like blogs, webinars, case studies, and infographics work really well for lead generation.
