Hi, I’m starting with “js-building-block”, but I can’t find the section of the sprocket menu : Open Local Dev Server
I am following the steps in the tutorial:
greetings and thank you
Hi there! Just checking in to see if you were able to this resolved?
Best,
Jaycee
hi @ROASJ ,
I am trying to use JS building blocks example at GitHub - HubSpot/cms-js-building-block-examples: DEPRECATED, go to https://github.com/HubSpot/cms-react instead · GitHub, but I cannot get it up and running. The Setup & Documentation is kind of a mess to me.
When trying to run the local cms dev server, there are missing scopes.
message: “This app hasn’t been granted all required scopes to make this call. Read more about required scopes here: Scopes - HubSpot docs”
This means I first have to setup a private app and grant scope permissions. I am quite not sure about these because the scope names in hubspot account don’t match the documened scopes at cms-js-building-block-examples/hello-world/README.md at main · HubSpot/cms-js-building-block-examples · GitHub
Is it true that JS building blocks only work in private apps?
From watching this Hubspot Developers Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chj-_yBN5_c
I assumed we can start using React for our complete hubspot CMS site?
It would be great if you could help to clearify things!
Hopefully any Hubspot Devs could also chime in here?
Cheers, Marco
Hi @marcosiegl , you don’t need to have a private application to use JS building blocks.
And I agree with you that the documentation is a bit confusing.
Sorry I can’t help you, I haven’t managed to get it working on my test portal yet.
same with getting-started boilerplate
