Job Title filter error - Huge feature problem

Job Title filters won’t work properly.

There is a huge error in hubspot that makes this filter completely useless. The filter just doesn’t work.

There is no way to make it filter all the contacts by job title.

By using the sub-filter “is equal to any of”, it only filters a fraction of the contacts that meet the criteria. And by using the filter “contains any of” it shows a lot of contacts that should not be there.

However, in the Advanced filters that actually worked but there is no way to create a dynamic list nor replicate the same filtering in a new list.

Furthermore, because of this Hubspot error, I cannot build workflows based on Job Title.

Can you please come up with a solution for this problem? This is one of the most basic and crucial features we need in our company.

Thank you,
Luiz

Hi @luizseigo

Do you have some examples where this works and doesn’t work?

Generally speaking, job title is a free text field which is notoriously bad for filtering and segmentation, same goes for any other free text field in HubSpot, or any other tool.

Yes, when using it on the main Contact page with Advanced filters and when building a List.

You don’t get the same filter options. In one you only get “contains exactly”. In the list, you get several more, but none do the same as “contains exactly”. A similar one is “contains any of” that takes under consideration any letter of your imput, in any order or place in the field. So if you are looking for CEO it will display any job title that das the letter “c”, “e” and “o” in any given order. So all Technology Directors will show up.
