Installments with custom requirements

What would be the best way to track revenue for customers that have large deals but take installment payments (custom amounts and custom due dates, meaning we cannot use subscriptions).

I can only think that they would need a deal created and closed won for each installment payment with a unique amount and due date.

Hi @Huntscape-Ops,

Based on your post, it sounds like you want to track current and future payments, so simple payment reports showing what has already occurred isn’t going to cut it.

Because the payments are straightforward (monthly, quarterly, etc.) and you can’t use a subscription, I would lean toward a custom object. Each object record would store whatever data you need, but most importanly, payment amount, payment due date, payment status, maybe payment terms? These records would associate with the deal and company, but you could also associate with AP/AR individuals on your customer side as well if you want to use HubSpot to email the individuals about payments. You could also incorporate invoice/payment links into these records which could be sent along with the email if they aren’t being sent from the actual accounting system.

If you go with this approach you’d be able to report on all historic and future payments as it relates to your customers. There’s some customization work up front, but you can build out some automation with workflows to support the process.

Hope this helps!
