Hi all! My name is Rachel - I’m the PM for innovation lab here at HubSpot. My team works to see how we can leverage new research to open up new opportunities for our customers. We drive early innovation experiments and incubation on new ideas for the HubSpot product. Our most recent inspiration is the OpenAI releases from last week.
The Idea
With that, we wanted to open a conversation: What if you could have the same real-time collaboration with a HubSpot expert, trained on how to grow businesses with sales, marketing, operations with years and years of data? What if you could share your screen with it and have it action on our CRM or give you feedback based on what it sees? What’s your favorite parts about collaborating with co-workers? Is it the whiteboard? The expertise they bring to the table?
We want to hear from you!
In the comments below, let us know: If you could have this AI-based HubSpot expert help you with anything in your business today, what would that be? Also share if you’d like to be involved in the sneak peaks of early experiments!
Very basic sales coaching would be very useful. identifying a high-performing sales rep (or benchmarking for smaller companies) and showing what they’re doing well vs underperforming reps. This could be as simple as analysing the number of touchpoints, average sales email length, activity levels, links contained in sales emails and speed of follow-up. I think personalising this to a rep would help with optimisation.
As there are so many features being rolled out. A use case for AI could be to create a “Project” of suggestions/actions that could be taken to maximise the use of the HubSpot tools based on the subsciption of the portal.
There could also be suggestions/actions that could be taken if they upgrade
for me it would be getting trainings, insights, best-practises and recommendations on HubSpot updates, and things that might not be used on a daily/regular basis. For instance - I’d say I see myself as a HubSpot developer with a good understanding of the marketing hub and other Hubs, but Service Hub is something I don’t have that much of an experience (maybe because there is not much what a dev can do right now) with.
So in this case, I’d highly appreciate “talking” to an AI expert that might have some great informations, insights… about the Service Hub. Without just getting simple answers like “Hey this looks like this knowledge base article covers exactly the thing you’re looking for”.
As somebody who’s just getting into HubSpot or is not highly experienced it could be a great thing to prompt things like “Hey, I’m a [marketer, sales rep, content person] and I’m just getting starting. What should I do first? Creating/importing my contacts, creating workflows or what are other companies starting with when they first starting their experience with HubSpot.”…
Hi @Thomas_Vanguard, Love this idea! Almost like a coach to help a sales rep grow their craft based on performance either across your own team or benchmarking with other similar companies. If I could ask a followup - what do you consider “high performing”? Email open rates / response rates? Time to closed deal? Response times? Thanks!
Totally, not every release is applicable to each user. Perhaps even one step further, if I know you are a sales rep perhaps we can give reports on what new features are available to support a sales rep and their workflow! Then you might be able to chat with this expert to walk you through how to use each of the new feature sets.
Hi @Anton, Love it - just repeating back for understanding. It sounds like you’re interest is “is there other parts of HubSpot I could be leveraging and don’t know about?”. Totally hear you on this ask! We have been exploring different ways to slice and dice these types of recommendations. Adding to that, talk to this expert would be good if the expert can be hyper personalized to you. Does it understand what I’m doing and can it map me to other things in HubSpot’s system that can help me?
I would love to have a research bar and Prompt for instance:
“Give me my contact who needs intro to a startup x doing y” and then based on the tag of my contacts, my notes, my meetings and all other interactions; I get a reply summarizing all contacts having some info related to their need of my request.
I expect to have a UX similar to chatGPT or perplexity
Hi Rachel, this idea sounds amazing! I’d love an AI expert to help streamline my sales pipeline and provide insights into customer behavior. Real-time feedback on my marketing strategies would be a game-changer. Count me in for the sneak peeks!
