Hi everyone,
I have a business case where we tie up with different influencers for outreach and generating leads. We have expenses tied up with every influencer for different activities like reel - $100, post - $200 etc., which changes per month. Only data that lies on the CRM today is the leads which we identify through Landing pages created for each influencer. I want to start storing the costs with the influencers in the CRM for better reporting on leads, customers, cost per lead, through each influencer, with budget allocations etc. My concern is:
1. The influencers are not a separate entity as of now in the system, should that be created? If yes, then where since we are on profressional hub and we can’t create custom objects.
2. Should the different expenses be stored in different properties since they are allocated for different activities?
3. How can I store costs per activity in a way that I can report on it with a historical analytics perspective since the data will change if the cost will be updated and will only give the current amount stored in the property.
Any suggestion of expense management or best practices to manage expenes, currently through hubspot is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @sahilbahri7,
Great questions, thank you for asking the Community!
I’d like to share this article for information “Manage your campaign budget”.
I did find the solution from @HFisher7 on this similar post “Expense and ROI Tracking” but this is using custom objects with an enterprise subscription though, as you mentioned.
I’d love to put you in touch with some of our top Experts: Hi @danmoyle, @Jnix284 and @Mike_Eastwood do you have suggestions to help @sahilbahri7, please? How would you approach this specific use case, please?
Thank you very much and have a brilliant day!
Best,

Thanks for the reply! I’d love to hear more about the possiblity of doing it.
Hi @sahilbahri7 based on the information provided, it would be possible to build a solution for what you’re looking for - the complexity of which would depend greatly on how your CRM is currently configured.
I highly recommend finding a partner or consultant to help you with this so you can successfully implement it.
Currently, we have a property ‘Channel’ with one of the values as ‘Influencer’ which is associated with every record who comes through an influencer. This way, I know how many contacts are generated through my influencer channel, and my landing page analysis gives me the specific insights per influencer. The idea is to include the costs now for every influencer for every activity (reel, story, video etc.) per month / quarter, which is dynamic and need to be reported on.
