Include UI "Source" label in Audit log export

Status: Idea Submitted

Context: We are using HubSpot’s Audit Logs (Settings > Data Management > Audit Logs) to monitor user actions such as property updates on tickets, contacts, Company or Deals. In the UI, the “Source” column shows a readable label (for example: “CW Product”, “Sub Category”, “CW Team”), which makes it very easy to understand what field or configuration was changed.

Current behavior: When we export the Audit Logs (Export report > Export), the CSV file roughly contains:

Category (e.g. Property Value)
Subcategory (e.g. Ticket)
Action (e.g. Update)
Date of change
Source as a URL (e.g. Loading...<portal-id>/ticket/<record-id>/history)
The export does not include the same readable “Source” label that appears in the UI for each event. Instead, it only contains the raw URL, and it means we cannot reconstruct the UI label from the export using formulas or lookups.

Problem:

  • For audit, compliance and reporting, we need to understand exactly WHICH field/configuration was changed, not just which record was touched. Because the label is missing from the export, we can’t reliably:
Group or filter changes by a specific field (e.g. “all changes to CW Product”) or we must cross-check each event back in the UI, which doesn’t scale.
Requested enhancement: Please include the same readable “Source” label that appears in the Audit Logs UI as a separate column in the exported CSV (e.g. “Source (label)” or “Source name”). This column should:
  • Match the text displayed in the Source column in the Audit Logs UI for each event and be available whenever the Source label is rendered in the UI.

Current export:

Source: Loading...<portal-id>/ticket/<record-id>/history
Desired export:

Source URL: Loading...<portal-id>/ticket/<record-id>/history

Source label: CW Product / Sub Category / CW Team (matching UI)
