Inaccurate Reporting

The current reporting system is not providing accurate insights, leading to potential misinterpretation of data. Our reports don’t feed us accurate information - This is likely due to data tagging. We need to be able to rely on our dashboards and reports.

We appear to most importantly have incorrect data in our funnel metrics, lifecycle reporting, campaign reporting (and tagging) and count of meetings booked for leads.

Hi @TamaraBally,

Can you share an example of HubSpot reports being inaccurate? Which data are you expecting to see, which data is the HubSpot report showing?

Generally, like most systems, HubSpot follows the principle ‘garbage in, garbage out’. If the input data is incorrect, HubSpot has no means of knowing how it should be cleaned up and will also use the incorrect data in filtering, workflows, reports etc.

Can you share examples of the incorrect data in your funnel and campaigns? What exactly are you seeing, what would you expect to see?

Best regards!

Yes. Most, if not all, new updates I’ve seen have made the platform worse. I don’t understand how they can raise prices while lowering the platform’s quality.

Example: The new marketing report is bad. They shoved “offline sources” into that mess they call the “Traffic by Source” report, and now I cannot see clean marketing data. How is offline sources even a thing? It’s just Excel files being uploaded by sales. Uploading Excels is NOT marketing. And I cannot filter out “offline sources,” so all the data in this report is useless.

And what’s with the discrepancies in data?

Filter the same things in Workflow, Lists, Contacts Table, and Dashboards, and you’ll get a different number in every place. This was a major problem I had to fix. My conclusion is “lists are the most accurate, I think… I don’t know becuase the data isn’t reliable”.
