HubSpot Webhook Workflow Trigger Time

I’m considering recommending Ops Hub Pro to my client. They receive contacts into HubSpot via Zapier at the moment and the Zaps are too slow for their process. I’m thinking of recommending using a WebHook as a workflow trigger so that the data can be received directly into HubSpot. Before I recommend this I was wondering if you have any info on how quickly a webhook from a 3rd party app can trigger a workflow? And what measures HubSpot takes to make this fast?

Hey, @JHooker9 :waving_hand: Thanks for your question!

While our documentation doesn’t specify exact response times workflow triggers from webhooks, generally, webhooks are designed to process data in near real-time.

Here’s what I’d suggest:

  • Using your HubSpot Developer account, you can set up an App Test account. This environment lets you work with workflows, including webhook triggers. This can help you get a sense of how fast the process is. And should provide insights on response times for your client’s needs
  • Since specific latency data isn’t documented, a support ticket might be able to surface additional details on performance expectations for webhooks
