I’m working with HIPAA covered informaiton, so I was thrilled when HubSpot introduced HIPAA/sensitive information fields. One of our challenges is that we receive patient r3fferals from Providers, so all of that form information is HIPAA covered -- for this portion of our target audience (some come from DTC sources).
TO use HIPAA covered fields, you have ot create a new field and set it up as a covered field from the beginning. Since all of the r3fferal form information is HIPAA covered for all fields in the form, including those that wouldn’t normally be considered sensitive (email, name, phone, gender, source, etc) -- until the user is contacted and gives consent -- we don’t want to replace our legacy fields as HIPAA fields for everyone, and we want to keep this information in a separate custom object until the user provides consent.
We’ve figured out how to email/call from the custom object, but sending SMS is elusive. Has anyone else figured this out already?
