We’ve had some values in properties that we used in the past but don’t use anymore and don’t want to clutter our property dropdown list. We’d like to delete these, but if we do, the data shown in reports is “deleted value” rather than what the value was. We want to retain this data so we don’t want to delete the value.
It would be great if we could hide or archive the value of the property so it exists in the platform, but when our teams click on Deal Source for example, the sources we don’t use anymore won’t show in the dropdown.
Yes, some of our properties are becoming incredibly cluttered with old values. We want those values for data, but we don’t want them to be currently active. They are past events that we won’t be selecting again. The list of values is getting mighty ugly.
This would be incredibly valuable! There are many use cases and instances where you want a property to evolve and change overtime, which requires adding new values as options, but you don’t need old options to be available for selection anymore.
Example: You have a property for “Services/Products” where you can select the service or product the customer purchased. If your services or products change, you don’t want to lose the historical information about what they purchased in the past, but you might not want Option ABC to be selectable anymore for new customers within the CRM UI if it is no longer offered.
@JStreit1 will this be submitted to the dev team? I can see we can hide from forms but would need to hide internally as well! Currently need to do this with two property values but need to delete them from records first which seems so strange to do.
Yes, this would be great if we had the ability to do this. I have the need to remove/hide some of our closed lost deal reasons as our products and services have changed, but the old data is important. I have thought about archiving the entire property and creating another, updated one with the new closed lost reasons, however, the old property is used in 250+ different assets and reports which will not be fun to update with the new one.
This is a must have for HubSpot!
We often need to prevent old property values from being used on new records but don’t want to lose the historical data for reporting. If we could disable values for users the same way we can hide values from forms it would be great!
