Help with sales total

Hi! New to HubSpot so sorry if this is obvious.

I want to add properties that we have on our e-commerce site like VAT (Tax), Shipping Costs etc and deduct that from the “real” total. I then want the real total displayed in reports.

I’ve added these as properties, is there a way to get a new total to deduct these other currency figures somewhere in the pipeline?

Hi @CSimpson19,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

How are the VAT (Tax), Shipping Costs, and other additional costs currently being recorded in HubSpot? Are you using an integration? Could you please share all the details you have regarding this topic so I can review and see if it’s possible to achieve your goal?

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana,

we currently have them as custom properties.

Hi @CSimpson19,

Great, thanks! So, is it already capturing and saving the information in HubSpot, right?

Let’s invite some of our experts to see if they have any suggestions to help you achieve your goal.

Hi @Lucila-Andimol, @Jnix284, @danmoyle - Do you have any insights for @CSimpson19 ?

Thanks and happy Thursday! :slightly_smiling_face:

@DianaGomez happy to help @CSimpson19,

While you can’t incorporate your custom properties into the default “Deal Amount” value, you can create a custom calculated property that provides you with the accurate amount you’re looking for.

Once you have that custom amount, you can edit your reports to leverage this property instead of the default amount property.

Hey @CSimpson19

if you have already imported or sync the information you need into deal properties

the step you need is to create a new custom calculated property

that calculates the math you need, for example= deal amount - VAT - shipping cost

Here is an article on how to create them

Then you can create a report about this property.

Hope this helps
