HELP! HubSpot to Salesforce Task Creation

Our business currently uses HubSpot to collect leads, which should then create a lead qualification task in Salesforce for our lead qualifiers. This SF task needs the fields from the form, including name, email, company name, etc., to map correctly to the task in Salesforce. If they are already in our SF (matching email), it should attach as a task to that existing contact. Which is how we were doing it for 5+ years with Marketo.

Right now, it’s all just coming through in one long comment box, and nothing is mapping over correctly. We are experiencing so many technical difficulties with this, and our lead qualification time has doubled as we have to correct records and task associations manually

Does anybody else have experience with this or do a similar workflow?

Hey @lindsaykoser,
Thanks for posting in the Community!
I’d like to tag in some Community experts to see what knowledge they may have on how to correct this. @franksteiner79, @trevordjones, and @HFisher7 - any thoughts here?

Hi @lindsaykoser and thanks for the tag @STierney !

If follow your original post, it sounds like not all of the data from the form submission is finding its way into the Contact fields in Salesforce.

The first step is to make sure that each of the HubSpot Properties on your form are mapped to a Salesforce Field in the Salesforce Integration with two-way sync, so the form data populates Salesforce fields. I would recommend arranging your Contact record layout in Salesforce so these fields are easy to find and view.

You can then create a task in HubSpot to qualify the lead and sync the task to Salesforce. You can include the form fields in the task body, but I would train your team to work the qualification from the Contact Record directly.

This may be a silly question, because I have no experience regarding Salesforce, but why are you utilizing one CRM to communicate with another CRM? This is a gap or opportunity for both companies to bridge and create a better product.
I’m honestly curious, why are you using both systems? What is it that is better in each?
