Hi I’ve recently been upgraded to use the Google Meet app. Thanks for that! I thought I’d give you two bits of early feedback: 1) It would be great if the Google Meet functionality as it appears in Google could be used, rather than inserting a link at the bottom of an invitation. See screenshots to show that it would be great if Google would look like the red circle, not the blue circle. Hope that’s clear! 2) When I use HubSpot to create a new meeting with a contact, I’ve found an instance where a hyperlink didn’t work properly. I wanted to send my contact a link to a HubSpot form to complete ahead of my meeting, so I created a link in HubSpot. At first it didn’t want to work. Every time I created the link using the button at the bottom of the dialogue window it either did nothing or tried to put the link into the “team notes” box instead. Eventually after about five tries it worked and I thought I’d sent my contact the hyperlink. But upon looking again inside Google Calendar, the link had reverted back to just text and the URL had disappeared. I had to jump into Google Calendar and update this manually outside of HubSpot. Hope these are helpful. Let me know if either of the two issues aren’t clear. Chris
Hi Hubspot team,
I believe my feedback is the same as Chris above.
We love that there is a Google meets integration as we are hoping to move from Calendly to Hubspot meetings.
1. The Google Meets button is now a small standard link, rather than the big blue (in my case) “Join with Google Meet”. So the joining info is very hard for the customer to identify. Resulting in customers not joining the call, sales having to follow up.
2. When sharing the meeting link and a customer schedules a meeting the Google meets location link is present. However, if our sales reps book a meeting directly from the Deal under Meetings, there is no link.
Thank you,
Sam
We have the same issue, but found the following solution for it. It’s not automatic, but it does fix it manually.
- Edit the calendar event.
- In the location box, copy the 10 characters (+ dashes) at the end.
- Click “Add Google Meet Video Conferencing”
- Highlight the new “Meeting ID” and click the pencil icon on the right.
- Delete what is in the box, and paste the one from below.
- A checkmark should appear.
- Click “Save”. Select “Don’t Send” on the pop-up.
Hope that helps!
