Google Address Autocomplete

I am trying to move away from Gravity forms and use Hubspot’s native form on my Wordpress site. I am having issues with getting Google’s address autocomplete to work and it looks like this maybe is an issue stemming from some changes last year.

Hey @JSetzer,

Are you able to confirm if you’re using the legacy form editor or the new form editor? The reason I ask is due to this changelog note here:

Also tagging in some of our Top Contributors to see if they have any tips any suggestions for you!

Hey @Anton, @evaldas, @carolinademares – Do you have any suggestions for @JSetzer on this?

Thank you!!

I ran into something similar when switching form systems. Google’s address autocomplete has changed a few things around API keys, billing requirements, and Places API setup, so older integrations can break. check that the correct Google Maps Places API is enabled, the key restrictions are set properly, and that HubSpot’s form script isn’t conflicting with another address plugin. If everything looks right, testing with a clean page containing only the HubSpot form can help narrow down the issue.

I’m currently working on setting this up. We’re using the new form builder. Am I going to be able to get this to work?

Hey @JBryan12,

Thanks for adding to the thread!

As referenced in the New beta form editor and developer functionality changelog, the new form editor doesn’t currently support the same developer features as legacy forms, so there may be some limitations worth exploring before going too far down that path.

Did you happen to look into the steps that @henry_collins provided?

Thanks!

Hey @JSetzer,

Thanks for clarifying! Have you had a chance to try this using a Legacy Form alongside @henry_collins’ suggestion?

Once we can confirm those troubleshooting steps, I’ll be happy to tag a few more folks from the community who might be able to weigh in.

Thanks,
