Hi everyone,
I built a funnel which can end with two possible endings, it’s a funnela of deals, so the deal can be either won or lost.
The thing is: with the funnel you have to make all the steps without bypassing any of them, otherwise it will not count it.
I saw that there is the possibility to put some steps as skippable.
The last two steps of my funnel are won and lost. I saw that you can’t put the last step as optional, so I was wondering: do you think that leaving just the one before the last as optional, everything will work fine?
Because if it’s won, it will appear there, but if it’s lost (would skip the won step) there shouldn’t be any problem.
Can you confirm me this?
Thanks a lot and have a nice day!
Hi @AVignetti,
Theoretically yes, but it’s not how HubSpot intended it to be set up and there might be some cases where the visualisation becomes misleading.
Typically, the closed lost stage is not included in a report. If you want to see this, have you considered two separate reports, which would also make it a lot easier to read, one of them ending with closed lost?
Best regards
Thank you very much, again, for your always fast and competent replies.
I could create 2 different reports, but why do you think this solutions to be misleading when you read the report?
@AVignetti having both stages in a funnel report suggests that they typically occur sequentially - which they don’t.
I would also find the report harder to read in general, due to the optional steps and branching paths.
Lastly, the completion metrics in the report couldn’t be used.
It certainly comes down to personal preference, too, yes
Thanks very much for your help and clarification.
Have a nice day!
