I’d like to know if I build a site with a free plan, where does the HubSpot logo appear? I guess in the footer but I’d like to confirm. Also, if you have a reference screenshot that’d be great.

Footer for sure, but then depending on what else you add on the page (forms, chat, etc) it might also have it’s own “Powered by HubSpot” type thing on it.
@AS11 it actually scrolls on the page with the user, it stays in the same position on the lower left of the page and will overlap the content as the user scrolls (depending on the size of the browser):
