forms

i have a client who wants a form that includes the names and other attributes of hr manger, export manager, financial manager and ceo. how can the form creates more than one record for more than one contact after the submission ?

Hi @HSalah,

This requires a Professional or Enterprise subscription. I explained how to do this in an earlier thread: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/How-to-create-multiple-new-contacts-from-a-form-submission/m-p/740858

Best regards!

Hi @karstenkoehler

the personalization token option does not appear to me i am trying the workflow on a demo account so my subscription is enterprise trial

@HSalah I can see a personalization token in each field of your workflow – what exactly do you mean when you say “the option does not appear”?

i mean that the label in your workflow image next to the arrow does not appear to me. I thought that maybe it might be the reason the workflow does not work. After submission it still creates only one contact

@HSalah the user interface has simply changed since I made that post, but that doesn’t change anything about the functionality. You have, as can be seen in your screenshot, added the personalization tokens.

@karstenkoehler But unfortunately it did not work.Do you have any idea what might be the reason ?

@HSalah could you be a bit more specific? What exactly did not work? What exactly were you trying to do, step by step, what were you expecting to happen, what was the actual outcome?

i have just created a demo form that contains first name, first name2,last name, last name2,email,email2.I want the form to create two contacts. So i create the workflow with the tokens. But after submission I found just one contact is created and here is the form

@HSalah can you please share a screenshot of your entire workflow? Have you checked the workflow actions log to see if your contact enrolled correctly? Understand your workflow details page

here is the workflow

@HSalah apparently, the value “Email2” for your test contact was not available or not a valid email address. Can you check which value you submitted during your test?

Yes it worked thank you so much @karstenkoehler

Hello @karstenkoehler Thank you so much for helping me in my task to create more than one contact in a single form. Now i have a new challenge. The form contains also a record for a single company. This company is automatically associated to the primary contact. How can I associated to the rest of the contacts automatically

@HSalah for this, you would use the ‘Create associations’ workflow action. This would require that the newly created contacts and the company share a value in a single-line text field. If this does not yet exist, make sure to include such a value in the ‘Create record’ action that is shared with the company record.

I did not 100% understand. Did you mean I must create a property in contact and company that share the same single line text value in order to create the association. Is it impossible to create the workflow action before the creation of the new contacts and the company from the form ?

@HSalah you also have association options in the ‘Create record’ workflow action (left sidebar). Have you scrolled down to confirm that the company association is established there?

@karstenkoehleryou mean this option? if yes I still do not know the steps to associate the contacts specifically to the company in the same form

@HSalah you cannot make the association to additional contacts directly in the form - but in the workflow, once a contact enters (and is associated with a company), in the create record action you can specify that this to-be-created new contact should be associated company in the left sidebar.

can you mention the steps in the left sidebar @karstenkoehler
