Forms: Multi-line text field size

Hey all,

is there a way to control the size of the multi-line text field in Hubspot forms?

It shows three lines, but we may require customers to fully explain their problem where this space may not suffice. People need to scroll back and forth to edit their answer.

Ideally, I would want to drag a corner of the window in the forms editor to enlargen the text window. Ist there a workaround?

Thank you for reaching out

With Marketing Hub and CMS Hub Professional or Enterprise you could modify the form embed code with the help of a developer. I think that should be possible to make a field draggable. I found this online but unsure if this is the way to go.

I want to tag some experts on this @tjoyce @thesnappingdog do you have additional suggestions for @LukasKr on this?

@LukasKr - It does depend on if the form is in an iframe or not, can you link us to a page your form is currently on?

Hi,

thanks for your quick replies. The form is currently using an automatically generated page by Hubspot: Form
This is fine for our use right now. Not being a developer myself, I can imaginge that it is easier to adjust the text box size, if the form code is embedded on our webpage. We might go over to embedding the form in a webpage, if this is the easiest way to solve the problem.

@LukasKr - Thanks for the link,

unfortunately this wouldn’t be possible with the iframe… css would be required, please, make sure you have the plan that gives you the ability to style forms with css before you go through the effort of creating an LP for this. @TitiCuisset - can you chime in with which plan allows you to edit the style of embed forms?

That being said, the good news is that, at least the user has drag handles on the form that gives them the ability to resize the box themselves

@LukasKr You will need Marketing Hub Pro or Enterprise or CMS Hub Professional or Enterprise to be able to modify the form embed code.

@tjoyce Unfortunately, I cannot see any drag handles in the bottom right corner. Neither Safari, Chrome, nor Firefox show these for me. My phone browser does not show these either.

@TitiCuisset I have access to Marketing Pro, so it should be possible to change the form embed code.
