We are looking for a solution for the following need:
we have several channel partners that generate leads and close deals (resellers). We would like to be able to forecast and track goal attainment for our partners as a whole and each seprately. We identified two posible solution, but each has downsides:
1. create a user per partner and assign it a seat. this allows us to set goals and track attainment through the forecast tool. This is the perfect solution, however, this means buying seats for partners which makes it pricy
2. Create a not-forecasted deal for the goal ammount as refrence with a specific deal stage and firecasting on 0%. Track all other deals using the partner only pipeline through normal deal cycle. This gives an overall partners view and to tracck per partner one should filter the pipeline per specific pratner. This give some level of a solution but makes tracking very manual and cumbersome.
Is there a better way to manage channel partners pieline and forecasting?
1. It is a one partner= one user scenario as partners will not have access to the CRM, we will manage the deal life cycle (which is simplified as it will go through the partner). The only purpose of creating a “partner” user is to be able to set a quota and track against it.
2. We created a seperate pipeline for all the partners and all partners will be members in a “Partners” team. The purpose is to be able to set a goal on a team level and goals for individual partners which will allow us to gauge attaintment on the overal partners’ attainment as well as on the individual partner performance.
Introw’s Partner Goals feature is built exactly for that.
With Partner Goals, you can set targets like referrals submitted, qualified leads created, pipeline/revenue sourced or influenced, tickets resolved, etc. Progress updates automatically in real time using data pulled directly from your connected HubSpot.
Introw is a PRM (partner relationship management) that deeply integrates with HubSpot. Allowing partners to register deals, collaborate on deals (and any other HubSpot objects), access documents and more. All without needing to give HubSpot access to your partners.
I would recommend avoiding dummy users and extra seats. Instead, create a Channel Partner deal property and use custom reports/dashboards to track pipeline, closed revenue, and forecast by partner.
Hey @ZEizenberg, If you need HubSpot’s Forecast tool specifically, there isn’t a clean way to treat each partner like a forecast owner without making them users. A simpler setup is to add a Channel Partner property to every deal and build one dashboard that shows pipeline and closed revenue by partner. Keep the partner target separate from the deals rather than creating fake goal deals, then compare actuals against it in reporting. That keeps the pipeline clean without paying for seats just to represent partners.
