Forecast tool doesn't work without Default close dates

I’m posting this so others can find this info with out having to rasie a support ticket.

Turns out the forecast tool doesn’t work without default close dates on all deals and there is no current work around.

So any user that has turned off applying the default close date can’t use the pipeline stages of the forecast tool.

This means - In addition if you are using the defult close dates. Any deal made in the hubspot app won’t get a default close date so won’t show in the forecast tool either. Meaning you could have inaccurate data unless you find a work around for app created deals.

This is a major problem for us as we do not use Hubspot for deal creation, they are pushed in from an external ecommerce system. There is no “close date” because they are ecomm transactions. So an open cart with $$$ in it will never show up. As a workaround we set a faux date which is really not solving the issue.
