Fluent Forms Contact Creation

Hi,

Thanks in advance for the assistance

We were previously using Ninja Forms and our process worked perfectly as so:

1. Website visitor would submit the form

2. An inbox message in Hubspot would be created as well as a contact

3. The inbox message was automatically associated with the contact (via From field) and the Reply-To was the email that the user put into the form. So all our team needed to do was click reply to the inbox message to reply to the visitor, and they could also create a deal which would be associated to the contact.

Our website has recently been updated, hosting changed, moved from M365 to Workspace and they shifted from NinaForms to Fluent Forms

Whats happening now is, a contact is created in HubSpot but the inbox message is not associated to the contact. The From and Reply-To of the inbox message is the WP Admin email address. So we need to dissasociate the contact, find the actual contact and then associate them which leaves room for error and its clunky

I have played around with changing the From and Reply-To fields in Fluent Forms but without luck

Having to change processes because of this is going to be an uphill battle

Does anyone know how we can get back to the setup we had before?

Note: I the issue seemed to arise once hosting changed. I tested switching back to Ninja Forms and the same issue persists, so I believe the change is with SMTP or elsewhere. I also don’t think it is with M365 to Workspace migration either

Thanks,

Hello, @DBlackbeard thank you for posting in our Community and sharing more about your goal!

Was this happening before when you had Ninja forms installed? Are there any workflows or automation active for this form?

I want to invite our top experts to this conversation @crispyGTM @matthodkinson @TomM2 any recommendations for @DBlackbeard matter?

Thank you,

Pam

I have this issue and need a fix as well. Can you help me out

I don’t yet have a fix for this unfortunately… I would love one! But for now we’ve sucked up having to remove the contact and then add the actual contact; which is a paid. Would love a solution

HI,
I have a fix for our shared form problem.
go to the inbox settings and a new channel. you need to add your form as a
channel which allows hubspot to recognise it as a form submission and not
an incoming email.

Thanks! That works like a charm actually. Data from the form is not easy to read but a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Thanks!

Hi,

Yes it was working previously; but not anymore and i’m not sure why

The fleuntforms integration is not as robus as NinjaForms, thats for sure.
