Since I started working on the Knowledgebase, the most frustrating task is trying to remember where the tools/functions are kept, specifically the navigation menus.
Is it possible to relocate the following to Content > Navigation menus
- Knowledgebase.
- Customer Portal.
- Quick Links.
Unsure if there are other areas that require you to create new header menus, but I think the above will definitely save alot of people from sleepless nights.
Cheers!
Hi. From what I can see, it is currently not possible to customize or reorganize the native navigation menus in the HubSpot main dashboard to move those sections to Content > Navigation Menus.
The default path to access the Knowledge Base and the Customer Portal remains under Services > Knowledge Base (or Customer Portal).
A good practice to avoid spending time looking for these sections is to use the global search bar at the top of HubSpot or to save the page directly as a bookmark in your browser.
If you think this would be a useful improvement, I suggest posting the idea on the HubSpot Ideas forum so that other users can vote for it and the product team can take it into consideration
.
Every menu is created and edited under Settings > Content > Navigation menus, including the ones your knowledge base and customer portal use. What’s scattered is where you choose which menu each one shows.
- Knowledge base header: Service > Knowledge Base > Configure > Header. In the global content editor, open the Website header module and pick the menu under Menu. The footer works the same way via Configure > Footer.
- Customer portal: Service > Customer Portal > Theming tab > Navigation card > Customize Navigation, then select the menu from the dropdown.
- Quick links: I couldn’t find a setting called that in HubSpot’s knowledge base docs. If it’s a module on your knowledge base homepage, you edit it in that template or editor. The closest thing in the header module is the “Additional support options” toggles, such as the customer portal link and support form.
A single place showing which menu each asset uses would still be a great addition, so I’d definitely upvote this as an Idea.
