Filtering capabilities within "Manage Duplicates"

Is it possible to add the ability to filter contacts within the “manage duplicates” using contact properties? We are a global company and many team members manage contact data. Adding the ability to filter based on the contact’s country or in our case a custom property named “business unit” would allow HubSpot users to focus their time on the records they are responsible for.

I often find our duplicates will have the same phone number and that is what I go to first to see if I should merge them or not. It would be an amazing feature if you could sort/filter by certain properties, such as, Phone Number is the same. Then I would know that I could just merge those all without too much extra thought.

We have multiple business units using our enterprise account and it would be extremely beneficial if we could sort contacts by business unit so each could review their own contacts for duplicates instead of throwing all contacts into the same list.

Excited to see this in beta, being able to identify duplicates based on custom fields is a big improvement. One related improvement that would make the Manage Duplicates UI much more usable would be the ability to filter duplicate pairs by any property (including custom properties).

Right now we can filter by a few system properties (Contact owner, Lifecycle stage, Create date, Last activity date, etc.), but many teams rely heavily on custom properties to organize their data.

For example, it would be helpful to review duplicates only for:

  • A specific customer segment
  • Records created from a certain integration/source
  • A region or territory
  • Internal account statuses or onboarding stages

Without this, admins still have to scroll through a large list of duplicates that may not be relevant. Filtering duplicates the same way we can filter lists or object views would make it much easier to prioritize and resolve duplicates at scale.
